HP Pavilion dm1 unboxing pictures, why we choose it over almost similar Asus Eee PC 1215b

Unboxing photos

We are looking for a laptop that can be use by my sister for her thesis making and studies. Here is the list of consideration we had in finding the perfect laptop for her:
1. Not too big (14" + laptops are out of picture)
2. thin and lightweight (she will be taking the laptop to school most of the time so it should be portable
3. affordable but not cheap (should be affordable enough and still has a premium feel)
4. sturdy
5. fast (although it will be used for document processing only, it should be fast enough to play casual games also)

We shortlisted two laptops, HP Pavilion Dm1 and Asus Eee PC 1215b.

In terms specification, they're pretty much the same

AMD Fusion 1.6 GHz dual-core Zacate E-350 APU with Radeon Mobility 6130 graphics
320 gb harddisk
2gb memory
Wifi a/b/g/n
Bluetooth
Windows 7 home premium

and only difference is that the HP Pavilion DM1 has 11.6" screen and aluminum body whle the Asus Eee PC 1215b has a larger 12.1" screen and almost plastic body.

We chose the Dm1 because it looks, and feels better to use than the Asus Eee pc counter part. Another thing is that aluminum body of DM1 will help in heat dissipation, and the it also uses an altec lansing speaker.
